BREWING GUIDE
KNOW YOUR GUIDE
TOO COARSE = UNDER EXTRACTED
This is when you have not extracted enough flavour out of your coffee
TOO FINE = OVER EXTRACTED
This is when you have extracted too much flavour out of your coffee. It becomes overpowering & unpleasant
You can NOT choose one grind setting for all beans. Every bean is different.
KNOW YOUR BEAN
During the first four or five day after roasting, coffee beans are actively releasing carbon dioxide. Making the ideal time to get the best flavours from your beans is around a weeks time from the roasting date.
1. Check the "roast date" before purchasing
2. Buy only as many beans as you will use in 1-2 weeks
3. Always grind on demand, just prior to extraction
EXTRACTION THEORY
Full bodied coffee with rich and complex flavours is created using the ideal does of 19-22g of freshly ground beans.
(we use 21g in store)
